PC10 Outdoor low AC voltage protection

Medium severity Midea DLCURA ducted single-zone inverter heat pump (outdoor)

What the control is telling you

Incoming AC voltage is too low.

Applies to: DLCURAH18-60 AAK/ABK single-zone heat pump outdoor units (18K-60K, regular and High Heat)

Likely causes

  • Supply voltage below 187 V
  • Loose connection at disconnect or terminal block
  • Undersized wire

Test and repair steps

  1. Warning: Live voltage testing - use proper PPE.
  2. Measure voltage at the outdoor terminal block with the unit running; acceptable range is 187-253 V.
  3. Tighten connections at the disconnect and terminal block.
  4. Check wire size and breaker per the electrical data (MCA/MOCP).
  5. Have the utility or electrician correct low supply voltage.
