EEJ Inducer relay error

High severity Daikin DR96TN/DD96TN

What the control is telling you

The control detected a fault in its inducer relay circuit. The furnace will not operate.

Applies to: Daikin DR96TN (upflow/horizontal) and DD96TN (downflow/horizontal) two-stage 96% furnaces with 9-speed ECM motor, R-32 ready

Likely causes

  • Failed inducer relay on the integrated control board

Test and repair steps

  1. Cycle power and retry to confirm the code returns.
  2. Check for 115 VAC from the control to the inducer during a heat call; with good wiring and no output, replace the integrated control board.
  3. If the inducer gets voltage but does not run, test the inducer motor windings (continuity between leads, none to ground) instead.
