Likely causes

  • Supply voltage too high (above 265 VAC at L-N)
  • Outdoor board DC bus or capacitor circuit faulty

Test and repair steps

  1. Measure L to N at the outdoor terminal block (XT); if over 265 VAC, have the supply corrected before restarting.
  2. GMV6 confirm 208/230 VAC supply.
  3. If the supply is normal, check the voltage across the electrolytic capacitor on AP1; a fault in that circuit means replacing AP1.
