Daikin · Furnace
E10 Grounding fault / poor neutral connection
What the control is telling you
The control detected a grounding error or a poor neutral connection. The furnace will not operate.
Applies to: Daikin DR96TN (upflow/horizontal) and DD96TN (downflow/horizontal) two-stage 96% furnaces with 9-speed ECM motor, R-32 ready
Likely causes
- Loose or high-resistance neutral connection
- Missing or poor ground path
Test and repair steps
- Check the neutral wire connection at the furnace junction box, the control board and the panel; tighten or repair.
- Verify continuity from the furnace to the ground source (ground wire back to the panel).
- Power off and measure neutral (white) to burner resistance - it should be very low (manual: less than 2 ohms).
- Restore power and confirm the code clears.
