11 red flashes Limit open 5-15 minutes - blower failure
What the control is telling you
The limit circuit has stayed open more than 5 minutes (and less than 15), which points to the blower not running. Hard lockout - cycle power after repair.
Applies to: York/JCI residential gas furnaces: York UTEC IFC furnaces, York White-Rodgers IFC furnaces, York TM9V
Likely causes
- Failed blower motor or motor module
- Blower wheel loose or blocked
- Blower wiring / plug problem
Test and repair steps
- Check that the blower runs on a heat call.
- Check the motor plugs and 115 V / signal to the motor.
- Check the blower wheel for debris or a loose set screw.
- Replace the motor (or ECM module) if it does not run with correct inputs, then cycle power.
- To read stored codes with no thermostat call active, tap the LAST ERROR button briefly (under 5 s); up to five codes play back newest first. Two green flashes = memory empty. Hold the button 5 s or more to clear (three green flashes confirm).
