65 IPM / trip terminal L error
What the control is telling you
Overcurrent through the inverter power module; compressor stops, and after 5 repeats it stays off. Indoor lamps: OPERATION (green) flashes 6x, TIMER (orange) flashes 5x, ECONOMY (green) flashes fast nonstop; wired remote shows 65.
Applies to: Fujitsu ductless heat pumps: Fujitsu ductless split/multi/VRF (general code list), Fujitsu wall-mounted 7-15 (NA ASU/AOU type), Fujitsu slim duct ARU 7-18 (LL type)
Likely causes
- Loose compressor or board connections
- Outdoor fan not running
- Clogged outdoor coil
- Compressor fault
- Outdoor main PCB fault
Test and repair steps
- Check all outdoor terminals and connectors.
- Check the outdoor coil is clean and airflow is not blocked; spin the fan by hand.
- Test the outdoor fan motor (see code 97).
- Test the compressor windings.
- Replace the outdoor main PCB if all else is good.
